Metadata Scanning Process

Does illumex analyze the contents of my data?

No, illumex solely examines the metadata of the data source. This includes information about the schema, such as tables, views, columns, and query logs. The actual data itself is not scanned or sampled.

What is the frequency of scanning my metadata?

The scanning frequency is customizable based on your requirements. By default, illumex scans the metadata on a daily basis. However, it can be configured to perform hourly scans, three scans per day, weekly scans, or any other desired frequency. Our goal is to cater to your specific needs.

Are there any limitations or restrictions during the update process?

Since illumex exclusively scans the metadata and does not access your data, the update process seamlessly integrates with your workflow. It does not impose heavy processing jobs on your data source or cause any disruptions to your production flow. Therefore, you can continue your regular work without any interruptions.
